What You Need to Know
Bridge Educational Psychology Services, like other practices that offer similar services, is considered an out-of-network provider by insurance companies. This means we do not bill insurance directly. However, many families are able to receive partial or full reimbursement for services by submitting a “superbill” or statement of services to their insurance provider. We are happy to provide the necessary documentation to support this process.
To find out whether your insurance plan offers reimbursement for services, we recommend contacting your insurance provider directly. When you call, you can ask the following questions to better understand your coverage:
-
Do I have coverage for [Service with ____ CPT code]?
-
What is the coverage amount for this service
-
How much does my plan reimburse for an out-of-network provider?
-
What is my deductible, and have I met it this year?
-
Do I need prior authorization or approval from my primary care physician?
-
Is there any paperwork I need to complete before starting services with Bridge Educational Psychology Services.
Many families find that a quick call to their insurance carrier helps clarify how much of the service cost may be reimbursed and what steps are required for coverage.
A Superbill is a statement we can provide that lists important details your insurance company needs for reimbursement—such as diagnosis codes, dates and length of sessions, and CPT codes. You can submit it directly to your insurance provider to see if you qualify for partial or full reimbursement.
Superbill?
We provide CPT codes for families seeking reimbursement from their insurance carrier for services we provide for their child. Please note that some of our offerings are considered non-medical and therefore not covered by insurance. As such, CPT codes do not apply to the following services:
-
Executive Function Coaching
-
Parent Coaching
-
Educational IEP Consulting
-
School Consultation and Collaboration
-
Behavior Support Consultations
-
Independent Educational Evaluations
These services are designed to support learning, development, and collaboration but are educational in nature rather than medical, so they typically fall outside the scope of insurance reimbursement.
Below are CPT Codes that may apply to services we provide. Because each child's needs are unique, the specific codes used will depend on the assessment plan developed after your intake appointment. You may contact your insurance provider about the following codes to learn more about possible reimbursement options.
